Together with family at Christmas

Here we are once again at the end of another year, during this season families come together to eat, fellowship, and exchange gifts.

In our family at Christmas we all come together no matter where we live. We all meet at our parents house, we sing Christmas and gospel songs, give testimonies about how good God has been to all of us all year. The fellowship is always wonderful, we have so much food we all can take a couple of plates home with us. This tradition has been in our family over 40+ years.

Christmas is a time to share yourself with family and friends. Strong God fearing families produce children who have the tools to grow up to become healthy mature well adjusted adults. God must be in the center of the family. Family members are meant to take care of one another and sacrifice for each other. The making of a family unit is God, husband, wife, and children.

Family life is under attack by the enemy. Families are plagued by divorce, absence of one or both parents, a breakdown of authority, preoccupation with things, not enough time together and financial pressures. A commitment to the Bible teachings and principles provides today’s best hope for the recovery of family life. When the family begins to grow spend time with your children in Bible study in teaching them how to treat a husband or wife early in life and remember that you are the best example. Deuteronomy 6:6-9

Family is the single most important influence in a child’s life, from their first month of life children depend on parents and family to protect them and provide for their needs. Parents and family forms a child’s first relationship.
